Valentina Anker

Valentina Anker is an internationally acknowledged specialist in Swiss art of the 19th and 20th century. Her numerous publications include monographs about Max Bill (1979) and Auguste Baud-Bovy (1991) as well as the two critical catalogues of paintings and drawings of Alexandre Calame (1987, 2000). She was jury member at international biennial events and curator of several important exhibitions in Switzerland and Italy. She lectured at the University of Geneva and was president of the Swiss Section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).
