Arnold Odermatt was born in 1925 in Oberdorf as one of eleven children. After he had finished his traineeship in a bakery, he started to work at the police. In 1990 he retired as first lieutenant, head of traffic police and vice commandant of the Nidwalden Police. Odermatt lives and works in Stans.
