Alfred Messerli

Alfred Messerli, born in 1953, is Swiss professor of Popular Cultures. His studies of German, Social History and European Folk Literature at the University of Zurich were followed by a PhD in 1988 and habilitation in 2000. Mersserli focuses on narrative research, personal testimonies and children folklore. Moreover, he co-edited the historic-critical edition of the writings of Ulrich Bräkers.
